Since its formation in 1998, the Singapore Animators Connection (SAC) has evolved from a local community initiative into an international network of Singaporean artists committed towards promoting the computer graphics (CG) industry in Singapore. SAC hopes to create a better future for the CG artists here by helping to boost the growth of the local CG industry in order to meet the needs of a growing pool of talents. With close to two hundred members including Singaporeans based in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Canada and the USA, we represent a diverse talent pool of CG artists. Quite a number of them are graduates of the finest international animation colleges such as Sheridan College (Canada), Vancouver Film School (Canada), Savannah College of Art & Design (USA) and Bournemouth University - National Centre for Computer Animation (UK). The cosmopolitan nature of our society, education and backgrounds ensures that our artists are versatile in creating productions with international commercial appeal. The SAC culture - emphasizing shared learning experiences and cross-training efforts, has also been imperative in raising the standards of our members and preparing them for international productions. Key knowledge areas we focus on developing are production techniques, production pipeline/workflow design and production management. The exhibition is a demonstration of the application of our artists’ capabilities in the following areas:
